Energy Pills Review

Right now I’m trying out Lipo Cutts by the same guys that do Therma Cutts, Scientifik Athletika.

It’s the more expensive product, so I was told it would provide the same results (super-high energy, weight loss, etc) as ThermaBurn (also reviewed here, but by a different company) but I’m not so sure it does.

In fact, I’m not even sure it’s as good as Therma Cutts!

Look at the ingredients:

Therma Cutts (cheaper, but high-potent energy)
Ma Huang: 350mg (ephedra)
Kola Nut: 350mg
Chromium Picolinate: 200mg
Ginger Root: 25mg
White Willow Bark: 25mg

Here’s Lipo Cutts (more expensive, yet low-potency)
Ma Huang: 300mg (ephedra)
Caffeine: 200mg
Garcinia Cambogia: 200mg
Yerba Mate: 100mg
Citris Aurantium: 100mg
L-Tyrosine: 100mg
White Willow Bark: 60mg
Ginger Root: 50mg
Cayenne: 50mg
DMAE: 50mg
Chromium Picolinate: 200mg
Acetyl L-Carnitine: 50mg

I wish I still had my bottle of Therma Burn so I could compare that too.

But as you can see, it has an impressive line up of ingredients. There are definitely more items here than in Therma Cutts, so why do I feel like Therma is better than Lipo??

The only thing Therma has that Lipo doesn’t is kola nut, which is basically the same
thing as caffeine (see wikipedia).

I have even taken 2 or 3 pills in one day just to give me the same “feel” as Therma
Cutts. Very strange. Maybe I built up an immunity? But I doubt it.

I won’t accuse them of skimping on the key ingredients. But who can ask them anyway? They’re so hard to contact. Again, the only way I can see to contact them is the address on the bottle that I mention in my previous post; no website URL for these guys!

Did I waste my money?

Therma Cutts is just like Therma Burn, which I reviewed in another post.

It appears to have the same ingredients, which I’ll touch on in a second.

This product is so darn strong; I don’t know of any that is as strong as this. The cool thing about it is that it contains Ma Huang (350mg), standardized to 8% ephedrine.

Sometimes I think it’s TOO strong. I still have never taken 2 capsules at once…even though I’m a bit accustomed to it now.

Some other ingredients:

• Kola Nut 350mg, standardized to 10% caffeine
• Ginger Root
• White Willow Bark
• Chromium Picolinate

It’s made by Scientifik Athletika which appears to want to stay under the radar; I still can’t find anything on these guys. The only lead I have is their address on the bottle: Bellwood, PA 16617.

I bought this at Wal-Mart.

It’s pretty ok and I was happy to find it, because it has Ephedrine in it. Ephedrine was allowed back for a little while in 2006, so you can sometimes find some older products that contain 8mg of the stuff.

It’s made by Abundance Marketing Ltd and can be found at abundancehealth.com. Even though ephedra has been re-banned in Canada, you can still find Proenzi99 on their website, but not in Wal-Mart. Strange that they’re still selling it online; they say it’s “one of the few that has been approved as a safe and effective treatment for nasal decongestion”.

It’s got a ton of ingredients that really make this a winning product; there’s so much good stuff in it, I can’t even begin to list them.

The rush was good and the price was good; $17.95 is darn good for a product that actually works.

Since the 2nd ban on ephedrine, they have the “ephedra free” version in Wal-Marts. It’s also got a ton of those ingredients like I said, but it doesn’t pack the same punch. I usually will just combine it with some other energy product just to get a little extra kick.

Give them a try.

I have tried so many thermogenic supplements over the past few years. Many of them are good, or least they start out good.

But you eventually get used to them and end up taking a little bit more as an experiment. But I never got to that point with ThermaBurn by BioLean. One capsule was always enough to get me buzzing with energy.

I guess I was too scared to take 2 capsules at once since the energy was always so strong. I was quite happy to live with one capsule per day until the bottle was done. That’s how good this stuff is.

I do remember always being hot when I took ThermaBurn…a good sign that it was working. Sometimes I’d shake, especially when I combined one pill with a can of an energy drink. All in all, this is probably the best supplement I’ve ever tried, and I’ve tried quite a few. More on that later.

ThermaBurn comes with 350mg of Ma Huang, which is the same as ephedrine. It contains kola nut, standardized to 50% caffeine. It also has ginger, white willow bark, and something called chromium picolinate.

I have tried their caffinated mints, their amazing-tasting Stinger drinks & shots (small drinks), and now their pills (which I bought at Wal-Mart).

They work pretty well. I went through all 60 capsules and each time, the rush was quite good. I usually mix them with guarana pills or ephedrine pills, if I can find them. Sometimes I mix them with an energy drink too, just to get that extra “oomph”.

Stacker2 is a likable brand too. They do a good job getting their product to market.

These pills contain kola nut, yerba mate, caffeine, green tea, white willow bark, etc. It’s got a few other items that help with weight loss, so it’s marketed to be a weight loss formula.
